Music for Screen, Stage and other Dreams

Composer, music critic, regular sound designer for theater… Pierre-Luc Senécal is piecing together his reputation as curious and dashingly passionnate. His compositions for concert, theater and film bear his fondness for storytelling, drama and poetry. The expression of violence and cathartic beauty is at the core of a serie of acousmatic pieces he’ll be composing during his masters degree at University of Montreal. His work has been presented in the United States, Canada, Monaco and Germany.
His piece, Schrei, a composition on the thematic of the Nazi genocide, has been presented during the San Francisco Tape Music Festival 2014 and the soundLAB – soundCollective exhibition project. Shards of Creation is the third instalment of his death-acoustic project x.cyber.hate.machine.x. This piece of “live radio drama” was presented at Eastern Bloc during the 2016 edition of the Montreal Contemporay Music Lab. He is a regular collaborator of Centre étudiant Benoît-Lacroix and director Giuseppe di Lonardo.
